Rope & Twine

CFS supplies all types of ropes and twines including polyethylene silver, polypropylene dan lines, weighted lead core rope, stainless steel wire rope, polyester, nylon, ships mooring ropes as well as some natural fibre ropes. Generally size ranges from 4mm diameter to 40mm and is either 3 strand, 8 strand, 12 strain twisted or braided, depending upon the application. All our ropes are uv treated and of high quality at competitive prices.

Duradan PPE Rope (Dan Line)

  • Excellent all purpose rope.
  • 3mm to 48mm.
  • Standard lengths; 110m, 220m. Various lengths made to order.
  • Manufactured in New Zealand by NZ Rope & Twine Ltd, A QE Group company.
  • Made from blending Polypropylene and Polyethylene resins.
  • Embossed to produce high tenacity and durable characteristics.
  • UV stabilized to meet our extreme UV conditions.
  • Floats on water.
  • Made to exceed the Australian Standard 1504/1983.

Applications: Widely used in all industries because of its excellent value and properties. Used extensively in fishing, aquaculture, boating, trucking, canvas, industrial and home applications.

Silver PE Rope

  • Excellent high abrasion resistant rope.
  • Available in sizes 6mm to 32mm with other sizes available on request.
  • Standard length 220m, other lengths made to order.
  • Silver PE (Staple PE) is a brushed Polyethylene yarn, designed to be used in areas of high abrasion.
  • Also referred to as Staple PE Rope.
  • Made to exceed the Australian Standard 1504/1983.

Applications: Available to be used in all industries but principally developed for the fishing industry where maximum performance is demanded or the marine industry where soft flexible properties are required.

Nylon Rope

  • Excellent breaking strain rope with shock absorption. Stretches 40+% before breaking.
  • 6mm to 32mm.
  • Standard lengths 110m and 220m. Cut lengths available.
  • Made from high tenacity Nylon filaments.
  • Green tracer added as international approved identification for Nylon.
  • UV stabilized to meet our extreme UV conditions.
  • Sinks in water.
  • Made to exceed the Australian Standard 1504/1983.

Applications: Very popular as anchor warps in small boats. Also popular in many applications where high breaking strain with high stretch characters would be an advantage. Caution; Because of the high stretch properties, Nylon should be avoided as a tow rope. (sling shot)

Tarred Kuralon

Tarred Kuralon – Used in many line fisheries as a sinking rope for either buoy or leaders. Kuralon is extremely strong and tightly laid. UV treated and very chaff resistant.

Nylon Sekiyama Cord

Nylon Sekiyama Cord – Imported from Japan and extremely strong, sekiyama is used in short lengths on stainless snaps to prevent leaders or branch lines twisting around mainlines.

Double Braid Yacht Rope

Double Braid Yacht Rope – is a superior polyester braid incorporating durability, strength and low stretch. Used in many commercial fisheries as well as general boating and marine

Natural Fibre Ropes such as Manilla and Hemp are available in many different sizes.
